Ki Adi Mundi Lego

Ki-Adi-Mundi was a Jedi Master from planet Cerea and a member of the Jedi High Council in the final years of the Galactic Republic who appears in the Star Wars movies The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.

Wookiepedia says that after he become a Jedi Master, Ki Adi Mundi was given a seat on the Jedi Council and was regarded as among the council's upper tier along with Masters Yoda and Mace Windu. In the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Ki Adi Mundi had to take the title of General and take part in battles. He survived almost to the end of the war but was gunned down by his own troopers, on the planet of Mygeeto, after the issuing of the treacherous Order 66 by Emperor Palpatine.

Ki Adi Mundi only features briefly in the Star Wars movie saga, although his death is shown in Revenge of the Sith. However, he does feature quite often in the cartoon series of the Clone Wars.

The Ki Adi Mundi Lego mini figure was released by Lego in June 2011 as part of the Geonosis Starfighter set and currently this is the only set that he can be found in.

Lego have done an excellent job of turning this rather complex character into a mini figure with the specially produced brick that creates his towering head and presumably the need to produce a specialized piece is why Lego had not previously released this popular and prominent character.

In addition to the head piece, the face of Ki Adi Mundi Lego is specially printed with beard and eyebrows as well as a warlike expression. Furthermore, the body of Ki Adi Mundi is printed with a shirt design too.

Lego have done really well in producing this long-awaited for Star Wars mini figure.

Ki Adi Mundi and Commander Cody lead the clone troopers into battle on the planet of Geonosis and a Geonosian Starfighter swoops down on them, armed with rotating laser canon and proton torpedoes that emerge from a hidden compartment.

This is a very stylish model with two excellent mini figures; Ki Adi Mundi and a redesigned Geonosian as well as the more mundane Clone Commander. With only 155 pieces this set is easily put together quickly but is very playable with its sleek design and fun weapons; a great addition to any Star wars Lego fans' army and a must for those who want to collect the Ki Adi Mundi Lego mini figure.
